Songs of Giants: Greenland

The Songs of Giants expedition set out to answer a profound question: What if we could understand the language of whales? Hosted by Chad Copeland, this immersive film series follows the team as they navigate the Arctic’s harsh and unpredictable conditions. First stop: Greenland, where they track humpback whales through icy fjords, capturing their songs and using AI technology to decode their meanings. Every challenge—from extreme weather to grueling days on the water—was driven by the possibility of unlocking a new understanding of these magnificent creatures.

"Through the ice, winds, and exhaustion of Greenland, Helinox gear turned our camps into places of recovery and connection."Journal Entry, Nuuk, 28 Sept 2024

Amid the isolation and relentless elements, the mission became more than just research—it was about connection. Long days of tracking and recording gave way to nights of reflection, where the team gathered to review findings and prepare for what lay ahead. In those moments, surrounded by the vast and unforgiving landscape, they were reminded why they came: to bridge the gap between human knowledge and the mysteries of the deep.

Helinox is proud to support this expedition, ensuring the crew stayed comfortable in the most difficult environments.
